Day 30/40: SPEAK IT, THINK IT, DO IT! - Pastor Ellen Bilsborough

After many years of being faithful, serving God watching my husband preach his guts out, I often ask the question:  "Do people get it?" this is not a game.  Living pure and holy, going to church, giving, loving and seeking God should be what we are all about. After all, don't we call ourselves Christians?  If we really are Christians, then why don't we act like it?  Why are we trying so hard to fit into the world and be liked and approved by people who have warped opinions and know nothing about Jesus.

We just need to keep our eyes on God at all times and not fix our faith on what others are doing. I have chosen a long long time ago to run this race and pursue God at my highest and utmost best until I see Him face to face. What makes some people run the race and others just sit there like dry dead wood week after week? The answer is simple - they have had an experience with Jesus, and not one opinion or thought or attempt from the enemy can destroy that or come against it.

Ask yourself these questions:

• What sets us apart from being true believers filled with faith?

• Are we really living our lives in the fullness of God's word?

• Is there truly a desire in our hearts for more of Him?

My vision and deepest longing is for every person to be filled with a longing for more of Him.  To live each day knowing that if God is for us who could ever be against us. Joshua 1:8 says,  "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it.  For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success."

We have that advantage every day that we can speak the word of God boldly and call those things that are not as though they are.  But how many of us actually believe that and speak that way? If we would only trust God and speak His word, there are no limits as to what we can do. The second part of that verse is to meditate on the word day and night  - that means think about it all the times. Thirdly, just do it what it says. Speak it, think it, do it.

If we would do these three simple things every day. Then our way will be prosperous, and we will flow in wisdom and be successful. It is simple, true and effective.  So what are we waiting for? The author of the universe gave us the blueprint for success.  Now, Speak It, Think It and Do It!
