Most of us will remember a time in the early years of school when we took a clear plastic cup, put some wet paper towel in it and put a seed in there with it. We would set it on the window sill and I think within a few days, a sprout began to break through the seed and within a week or so, we had a fast growing plant.
I must admit, that was pretty fascinating back then, and to see something happen so fast was just awesome, but God does not always move in our timing, but He is always "On Time." The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. No one said it would always be easy, but if we can learn to trust the timing of God, it puts us in a position where we don't have to worry or fear that something we need is not going to happen.
If God is in it, it will come to pass, but it will come at the best possible time, and that time is only determined by God. The part we play in this is to "expect." We should always come to God with an attitude of expectation. We expect things to happen, because and only because we have done the right things to make things happen. If you sow you will reap! When you plant a seed of faith, and water it with your praise, align it with God's plan and His Word, then it will happen. Just like we knew that little seed would grow into a plant, we know God will hear and answer our prayer.
The woman with the issue of blood said "If I can but touch the hem of His garment, I shall be made whole." That my friend is expectation. She heard He was coming, so her faith was already in operation, she knew that she had to do something on her part, just like faith has to be willing to take a step forward, and she touched Him, drawing from Him that healing anointing. Lots of people come to Church, but not everybody touches Jesus with their faith and with their praise.
God is big, He is creative, He is majestic, and He is not limited by anything anywhere, so as His children, why not "EXPECT BIG THINGS" from Him? If the devil can do anything, it would be to try to limit you in the area of expectation. He wants you to think that God doesn't want you to succeed, and that He doesn't want you blessed to be a blessing and so forth, but when you begin to see obstacles as opportunities, and get rid of the negative forces, (sometimes we call them friends) around you, then plant your faith seeds and expect something big to come as a result of it.
Did you know that you are bi-lingual? If you are a child of God, you speak your native tongue and then you speak your faith language. Faith talks like this...I can do all things through Christ, and with God all things are possible. Speak faith, say it like the woman with the issue of blood did "I SHALL be made whole." Nothing wavering, no doubting, absolute assurance that what she said would come to pass!
If you're not seeing what you want to see, then do what you need to do to change that, start living in a different realm, the FAITH realm, where all things are possible, and expect God to do great things in your life, your family, your business, your finances or any area of your life!
