Day 15/40: MORNING IS COMING

It is without a doubt that there will come days filled with challenges, days you wish never would have come your way, this is just a way of life.  Being a Christian does not exempt anyone from difficulty.  Faith is not denying the existence of trouble or problems, faith is accepting the truth that we serve a God who will give us the grace, strength and power to overcome every obstacle.

In Psalm 30:5, the Bible says His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime, weeping may endure for a night but JOY comes in the morning.  The truth is, God does get angry, he got angry in the days of Noah, and because of sin and disobedience, he caused it to rain for 40 days and nights, but the good news is His anger does not last because it would contradict the very solution that He provided for our sins, the Blood of Jesus Christ.

God doesn't hold a grudge, he won't ignore you for two weeks and take you off his speed dial.  In fact, He will never take your name out of His address book, only we can do that by our wrong choices.  We at some time in our lives will fail God, but His anger only lasts for a moment.

Here's the good news, His favor, the bible says, lasts for a lifetime!  You might want to shout right about there!  For your entire life, His favor is extended to you.  We all need His favor, we need it when we are young, when we are raising our children, when we are starting a business, and when we grow old, we all need His favor.

Don't let the devil try to convince you that God is mad at you and holding things against you, He isn't.  His anger only lasts for but a moment, but his FAVOR lasts a lifetime.  There is a verse in the Bible that says "It is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance."  That means that even when your flesh wants you to do wrong, you look to God and recognize how good He has been to you and the favor that He has placed upon your life and you are reminded of every miracle He has done for you, every healing, every bit of provision and you run to Him and repent for ever trying to go any other direction.

Then the Psalmist says "weeping may endure for a night."  Friend, don't hold onto the past, let it go, quit mourning those things that have been removed from your life, they were removed for a purpose.  Let go of the thing and recognize that weeping is but for a night, it was never intended to hang around for an extended period of time.  Don't make up the spare room and let it stay in your life, deal with it and get don't with it!  There is a Godly restriction upon weeping, God said, ONE NIGHT, then move on!  Psalm 30:5 is the expiry date for "weeping."

Then finally, the reason weeping is restricted, is because JOY comes in the morning.  The moment the sun peeks its head over the horizon at the breaking of the day, weeping expires.  When the light of day dawns, weeping is gone and JOY has arisen upon you!  Your JOY and your PRAISE but weeping away forever, and even better yet, because you have now read this verse, you know God is going to do a thing for you, and so you can begin to Praise Him even before the sun breaks forth, even while you are in your weeping hours, praise Him in the dark because you already know the MORNING IS COMING!

God is not angry at you, He holds no grudges, the Blood of Jesus will not even allow that to happen, but He is a God who wants to lavish His favor upon you today, and thou troubling times may come, it's just for a night because MORNING IS COMING!
